TENDER FOR CONSTRUCTION OF

HAYSUFTU HIGH SCHOOL

IRE has been operating in Ethiopia since 2004 in Addis Ababa City. Oromia, Somali and Afar National Regional States. Since 2004, Islamic Relief (IR) has been operational in Ethiopia delivering humanitarian assistance and implementing development interventions. Working with the local communities and government, IR managed to reach millions of vulnerable communities in remote pastoralist areas and the very urban poor. Accordingly, IRE has received funds to implement Creating high school education opportunities for children of underserved communities at Haysoftu Village of Somali Regional State, Ethiopia.

1. The ISLAMIC RELIEF (IRE) invites all eligible contractors/bidders registered from respective government regulatory bureau under the category of WWC of Grade 4 and above, who have renewed and valid business licenses for the fiscal year 2017 E.C and who are VAT and TIN registered to submit their bid offer to undertake Haysuftu secondary school construction (three block class room, one block Administration, three block dry latrines, one block guard house) at Haysuffu Kebele of Dekasuttu Woreda, Liben Zone of Somali Regional State:
2. A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE), upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 400.00 at Islamic Relief Ethiopia A/C 1000007230714
3. Experience with similar assignments for at least three years is required:
4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of bid amount in CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee, the bid security shall be valid for 60 days starting from the bid opening date:

7. Bids must be submitted to IR Ethiopia Country Office before Tuesday 8th April 2025 at 10:00am local time morning. Bid will be closed on the same date at 10:00 AM local time and be opened on the same date at 10:30 AM at Addis Ababa, Jigjiga, Dekasuftu and Hargelle offices.
8. The successful bidder will be required to furnish a Performance Security in unconditional bank guarantee for the sum of 10 % (ten percent) of the total sum of the contract.
9. Bids will be evaluated based on criteria specified in the tendering document and guidelines.

11. IRE reserves the right to reject any or all offers without giving reason for doing so.
