The Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia has received financing from the World Bank toward the cost of the food security coordination office and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for different types of seedlings.

The Food Security Coordination Office of the Ministry of Agriculture now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for: Banana seedling Tissue Culture (TC) Grafted Mango seedlings and Grafted Avocado seedlings

1.     Bidding will be conducted through National competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" July 2016 revised November 2017. July 2018 and Nov. 2020 ("Procurement Regulations") and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.

2.     Interested eligible Bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Agriculture (MoA). Attention, Tamrat Terfassa. CEO. Building A. 2nd Floor.. and inspect the bidding document during office hours i.e 8:30 AM to 5:30 PM local time during official working days at the address given below.

3.     The bidding document in English language may be obtained by interested Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below.

4.     Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before July 09.2026 at 10:00 Am. Electronic Bidding will not be permitted. Late Bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the Bidders' designated representa- tives and anyone who chooses to attend at the address below on July 09, 2026 at 10:30 Am.

5.     All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting in birr 2.000.000.00 (ETB Two Million only).

6.     Attentionis drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
