Contribute to the overall Technical aspects of the rural and urban

WSS project, including: planning, Implementation, follow up and

monitoring of the contract effectiveness with respect to program

Guide line, manuals & standards; Support the towns and woredas

in the study and design of water supply projects; Prepare training

documents, training plans and deliver trainings in priority areas;

Assist woredas and towns to identify their own program gaps and

management  deficits  and  provides  them  with  the  technical

assistance or the capacity development they require; Assist in the

production of contract management & Supervision manual for the

consumption of Regions, particularly for contract administrator and

construction supervisor; Assist the Regions /WWTs Town Water

Boards & Utilities in tender advertisement, analysis & award,

evaluation,                    contract                    negotiation            and                    Contract                    Signing                  and

implementation; and final acceptance of the project includes follow

up of payment modality and payment certificate review etc;

BSC/MSc or above in water supply and Sanitary Engineering, hydrology or related fields of study

10/8 in the water supply and sanitation sub-sector with a high credit to experiences in Design construction, assessment, analysis and development of Manuals and strategies for the sub-sector.

Provide overall support to the Contract Management aspects of the

water supply projects, in line with the guidance provided in the

Project Operational Manual. The specialist is expected to establish

and maintain robust communication with the regional and woreda

level assigned Project focal persons and the RPMU for the

successful                  delivery                 of                  his/her                  assignments;        Shall                  acquaint

him/herself to the PPA, WB and or any other Funding agency’s

procurement and Contract Management guidelines; Follow up and

assist the regions and cities on overall contract administration and

management starting from contract negotiation and agreement up

to end of contract implementation and final acceptance of the

project; etc

BA/BSC or above in Engineering, Business management, Project Management or related fields

Senior Financial Management Specialist

Gets acquainted with the CWA Phase II project legal documents; Review and gets acquainted with the CWA Phase II POM and other project implementation documents: Review the financial management manual, prepare training materials and provide training to the regional water bureau and town financial management expert on the application of the financial manual; Ensure the proper integration of the financial information in to the

overall project monitoring and evaluation system; Provide assistance to the independent auditors at all level; etc

BA/MA in Accounting/Ec onomics or other related field

10 years for BA holders /8 years for MA or above relevant work experience in financial management, at least 3 years in the water supply and sanitation sub- sector or proven familiarity with donor’s financial management guidelines and procedures; etc

Senior Social Safeguard Specialist

Provide technical assistance/ support to the town level social safeguard experts. Conduct social safeguard training to the Woreda and town level social safeguard experts. Monitor and follow up the implementation of safeguard activities at regional level; Coordinate social safeguard activities at regional level; Conduct public consultation meeting jointly with town/Woreda level social safeguard experts; Review social safeguard instruments/tools like ESMF (Environmental and Social Management Framework), RPF (Resettlement Policy Framework), ESIA, RAP and ARAP jointly with other environmental safeguard experts; etc

BA /MA

degree in Sociology and Social administration or other related fields,

10/8 years of relevant work experience in social safeguard respectively with at least 3 years of working experience in WaSH sector. The candidate should have knowledge of Government of Ethiopia and World Bank financed project. Guidelines and procedures in social safeguards, social assessment, RAP, ARAP and social analysis, as well as World Bank Environmental and Social Safeguard Policies. Experience in effective stakeholder engagement,

Grievance redress mechanism.

Senior Hydrogeologist Engineer

Assist in providing guidance and hydro geological technical support to the Regional water Bureaus and local experts; Conduct Hydro-geological investigation; Conduct supervision works for borehole drilling ; Conduct assessment and source investigation for CR-WASH and R-WASH projects; Provide Training of Trainers, monitoring and quality control services to the regions zones and woredas the following tasks will be conducted; Carry out hydro geological desk study of the project for regions and discuss the results with the regional experts and submit feed backs; etc

BSC/MSc or above in Applied Geology/ Hydrogeology; or other related fields

10/8 years or above practical experience in groundwater resources potential investigation, Hydrogeological, Mapping, Site selection, monitoring well drilling supervision, Water Well drilling and construction supervision and Capacity building skills; Training Requirement: The employee should have taken training on groundwater Development and management, water supply management.

Senior Electromechanic al Engineer

Prepare specifications for electromechanical equipment including solar systems, TOR development, engage in tender evaluation, inspection, supervision of installation; Develop, evaluate, improve and implement electromechanical guidelines, design standards, specifications, manuals and standards to facilitate the study and design of urban and rural Electro-Mechanical water supply system; Perform electromechanical feasibility study, detail design, design review, simulation work and prepare BoQs for the intervention CWA-II  projects;  Provide  technical  support  and  advice  to

electromechanical engineers in the intervention regions, zones who are involved in projects study and design; etc

BSc/M.Sc. or above in Electromechani cal Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or

other related fields

10/8 years and above of professional experience, Strong experience in study, design, construction, assessment, analysis and development of electromechanical manuals and strategies for the sub-sector; Experience with quality assurance and site monitoring for electro mechanical works; etc
