GIZ (Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit GmbH) is looking for a Car rent company to Rent 3(three) Mid-size Vehicles for 3 Regional Offices of the Project located in Adama, Hawassa and Kombolcha

On behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ), the Sustainable Industrial Clusters in Ethiopia (S.I.C.), co-financed by the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) of the United Kingdom and the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) and implemented by GIZ, aims at fostering job-effective growth while improving social and environmental sustainability in Ethiopia’s manufacturing sector. S.I.C. has an implementation agreement with its lead political agency, the Ministry of Industry (MoI) and the Industrial Parks Development Corporation (IPDC).

S.I.C.  project is addressing current challenges that Industrial Parks in Ethiopia are facing, supporting stakeholders, namely Ministry of Industry (MoI), Ethiopian Investment Commission (EIC) and Industrial Park Development Corporation (IPDC) in promoting compliance with international social and environmental standards, while fostering decent job-effective creation, maintenance, and growth. S.I.C. is contributing to closing the gap between results and aspirations of the Industrial Parks by tackling issues such as: quality and satisfaction of labour, ensuring gender awareness and equality and career development for women; improving park operations through capacity building and customer service; environmental and social regulatory frameworks and their enforcement, as well as business linkages into the wider economy in the communities where the clusters are inserted. To achieve this purpose GIZ is looking for a car rent company who is eligible to participate in this public bid.

Required Qualifications

Interested bidders who fulfil the following criteria can obtain the bid document from the office specified below starting from April 5, 2023 on working days,

The company preferably should have the following:

1. General Experience: working in the relevant region/knowledge in the region
2. Language skills: good business language skill in English & Amharic and languages applicable for the assigned region
3. Legally registered in Ethiopia and have renewed trade license [it should be attached with the price offer]

All bids must be delivered/submitted physically to the address below at or before 4:30 pm local time on Tuesday, April 18, 2023.
