Background
The purpose of this bid was to get qualified vendors who could RENOVATE F/D/R/E DISASTER RISK MANAGEMENT COMMISSION OFFICE – ADMINISTRATION BLOCK/BLOCK 1/.
The Procurement Associate briefed on the objective and requirements of the bid, what is expected from bidders - eligibility and submission requirements, and related details of the bid document.
The Construction Engineer and Construction Officer explained the technical requirements and expectations of UNICEF from the bid outcome in detail.
UNICEF has the right to consider multiple contractors for this bid.
Bidders are strictly advised to use the financial proposal format shared by UNICEF.

Completion of the Declaration part of the bidding document |
The need for careful completion of the declaration part was explained as the document will be reviewed to prequalify contractors. If ambiguity is created at the time of completion a clarification can be sent out through supplyaddisababa@unicef.org and will be addressed asap. |

Arrangements to be made in relation to site visit. |
It is MANDATORY to have field visits for bidders to have a realistic idea of what they are offering, bidders can contact ( Alemayehu – EDRMC or Hiwot–UNICEF, hderessa@unicef.org /+251911138158) This will help bidders understand the location, site condition, the project scope details so they will be able to make an informed quote for their bids. Furthermore, contractors must be mindful that the purpose of site visits is only to tour around and have a better understanding of the site. Raising technical questions is not allowed at the time of the visit and such type of question can only be addressed through formally placing a clarification question with the dedicated e-mail for that. |

The unit of measurement for the meeting room specified in our tender document is meters, however, vendors have suggested that square meters would be more practical. Measurement unit for Aluminium partition being in meters is also raised in relation to this. |

- FINAL SUBMISSION DEADLINE FOR THIS BID IS 24 July 2024 @2:00 PM
- UNICEF strictly advises bidders to read the terms and conditions of the RFP need to submit them at least a day before the submission deadline and late submission is unacceptable.
