- The Ministry of Health has received financing from the World Bank towards the cost of the COVID- 19 Emergency Response and intends to apply part of the proceeds toward payments under the contract for the Procurement of liquid waste treatment technology and installation.
- The Ministry of Health now invites sealed Bids from eligible Bidders for the "Procurement of liquid waste treatment technology and installation". The invitation is open for contractors and above, who have registered with the relevant government offices in Ethiopia and renewed their license for the current year. The Procurement of liquid waste treatment technology and installation for St. Peter and Eka Kotebe Hospitals, Bidders who wish to participate in this bid should have past specific experience as Prime Contractor, Management Contractor, and Partner in a Joint Venture, or Subcontractor; and installation with the following qualification criteria which are also r, in at least two liquid d waste treatment technology indicated in Section III (Evaluation and Qualification Criteria).
- Bidding will be conducted through national competitive procurement using a Request for Bids (RFB) as specified in the World Bank's "Procurement Regulations for IPF Borrowers" November 2023 ("Procurement Regulations"), and is open to all eligible Bidders as defined in the Procurement Regulations.
- Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Ministry of Health, Procurement Executive Officer, and inspect the bidding documents at the address below during office hours; from 09:00 A.M to 12:30 A.M hours and from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM hours Ethiopian Time, Mondays to Thursdays and 09:00 A.M to 11:30 A.M and 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM hours Ethiopian Time hours Ethiopia on Fridays.
- The bidding document in English language may be purchased by interested eligible Bidders upon the submission of a written application to the address below and upon payment of nonrefundable fee of ETB 3,000.00 (Three Thousand) or its equivalent amount in freely convertible currencies. The method of payment will be in cash deposit at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia (CBE) Account Number Ref 100 00 00 98 48 77 and presenting the deposit slip in person to MOH Finance Executive Office and the document will be given to the applicants arriving at our premises in person.
- Bids must be delivered to the address below on or before 2:00pm Ethiopian Time June 29, 2025. Electronic bidding will not be permitted. Late bids will be rejected. Bids will be publicly opened in the presence of the bidders' designated representatives and anyone who choose to attend at the address below on June 29, 2025 at 2:00pm Ethiopian Time.
- All bids must be accompanied by a Bid Security amounting for each Lot ETB 500,000.00 (Five Hundred Thousand Birr only), or its' equivalent in an easily convertible currency. Bid Security must be in the form of either CPO or Bank Guarantee from a recognized local Banks. Insurance Bond and bid security declaration is not acceptable.
- Attention is drawn to the Procurement Regulations requiring the Borrower to disclose information on the successful bidder's beneficial ownership, as part of the Contract Award Notice, using the Beneficial Ownership Disclosure Form as included in the bidding document.
