Oxfam's gender focused enterprise development program invests in early stage small and medium sized enterprises that promote economic opportunities for women. The program has a history of supporting high impact enterprises through an intelligent mix of grants (for business development. technical capacity enhancement, market linkages, social Impact etc.) and access to working capital and term loans through financial intermediaries.
EDP will invest in enterprises that have clear potential for commercial viability, share Oxfam's values and commitment to tackling gender inequality, and can demonstrate a positive impact on 'practical gender needs and the potential to address 'strategic gender needs, struggle to access appropriate finance and support to catalyze growth (where there is a demonstrable gap in the provision of capital) in a timely manner.
The program will focus on enterprises in two different stages of development: those that are struggling to consolidate and/or reach the necessary levels of operation and management to be sustainable: those that are more established but require additional support -either for growth or to achieve greater impact.
Purpose of the Assignment
Currently, the program is working with different financial institutions in the provision of tailored packages of loan to potential small and medium enterprises and looking to have additional financial institutions who have innovative and flexible banking services.
The key tasks and essential requirements to jointly work with Oxfam are clearly stated in the ToR. Therefore, interested banking service providers are invited to collect the ToR documents from Oxfam in Ethiopia, which is in the address below starting from May 29, 2025. Bidders/ service providers are required to carefully read through the ToR documents and return your proposals on or before close of business 11 June, 2025, at 5:00 p.m in person in a sealed wax envelop.
This invitation has been issued for the sole purpose of obtaining offers for banking services against the specification contained within the TOR. OXFAM reserves the right not to enter an agreement/sign MoU because of this invitation to tender. OXFAM also reserves the right to terminate any contract issued because of this as set out in the contract terms and conditions.
