Background
The Africa Health Collaborative (Health Collaborative) is a network of diverse partners, including universities and other organizations/institutions, committed to improving health and well-being in Africa by providing contextually appropriate trainings, supporting innovative solutions, and empowering young people to work on sustainable and culturally relevant f primary healthcare systems. As part of the AHC program, the Africa Health Collaborative-Addis Ababa University (AHC- AAU) Project is launched in AAU and Local Implementing Partners (Debre Berhan, Wolkite, and Wollo Universities).
The AHC-AAU Project, in partnership with Mastercard Foundation, focuses on. building three core health Pillars: Health Employment (HEMP), Health Entrepreneurship (HENT), and Health Ecosystems (HECO), particularly emphasizing on women, disabled and internally displaced people.
To support the smooth operation of this initiative, Shayashone Trading PLC (SYS) has been engaged as a service provider, responsible for providing fiduciary and administrative support, including financial management, procurement, human resource management, and logistics. This collaboration ensures effective and accountable implementation of the program's vision and objectives
The development and scaling of health entrepreneurship startups are critical to addressing healthcare challenges and fostering innovation in the health sector. In line with HENT, the project aims to build a stronger and more sustainable health sector by empowering both the trainers who train the healthcare professionals and the entrepreneurs who will drive innovation and create jobs.
For this purpose, AHC-AAU Project through Shayashone Trading PLC, seeks to hire a Consulting Firm to develop comprehensive training modules and provide capacity building for trainers who will cascade knowledge to entrepreneurs.
Description of the Assignment
The need for Health Entrepreneurship has become increasingly critical as the healthcare industry evolves, seeking innovative and sustainable solutions to meet community needs. Health professionals, business leaders, and other stakeholders must develop entrepreneurial skills to enhance healthcare services and reach underserved populations. To support this initiative, the AHC-AAU Project seeks a qualified Consulting Firm responsible to:
i) Develop Training Modules. The consulting firm will be responsible for creating
comprehensive, practical, and engaging Entrepreneurship and Business management training modules and associated materials tailored to aspiring and existing entrepreneurs in the health sector.
ii) Provide Trainings of Trainers (TOT), who will then deliver the health entrepreneurship training to others. This should involve equipping trainers with the necessary knowledge, skills, and resources to effectively implement the AHC-AAU Project training program.
iii) Testing and Validating the Training Modules.
This will include onitoring/assessing and evaluation of the effectiveness of the training modules and programs, and adjusting as needed. Target Training of Trainers (TOT) Audience. The audiences will include selected academic staff from AAU and three local partners (Debre Berhan, Wolkite, and Wollo Universities), from diverse disciples.
Requirement
The Consulting Firm is required to fulfill the following minimum requirement:
- Proven experience (at least 3 years) in consultancy
- Proven track record in training curriculum/module/material development and delivering training.
- Expertise in health entrepreneurship, venture acceleration, and capacity building.
- A multidisciplinary team with expertise in instructional design, public health, and entrepreneurship.
- Strong communication and facilitation skills in training.
- Must submit VAT, tax clearance, trade license and registration.
- Provide a list of 5 (five) or more key experts or staff with proven track records in training curriculum/module/material development and delivering trainings, all of them with MA/ MSc and above academic qualification, and at least four of them must be trainers/master trainers.
- Each expert must have at least 5 (five) years of training curriculum/module/material development and delivering training experiences.

Interested consulting firms can participate in the bid to Develop e Training Modules on Health Entrepreneurship and Capacity Building, including Training of Trainers (TOT) Program as g per the Terms of Reference (TOR) described in the standard bid document (SBD) prepared for this purpose. Applicants can request and collect the SBD, from Shayashone Trading PLC office, Cameron Street, Reality Plaza 12th Floor beginning e from June 30, 2025.
Submission Deadline:
All bidders are required to submit separate technical and s financial proposals in sealed and stamped envelopes (one =, original and one copy for each) at the Shayashone Trading PLC i office Cameron Street, Reality Plaza 12th Floor on or before July 14, 2025 at 12:30 (Lunch time) and the bid will be opened e on July 14, 2025 at 2:00 PM (after lunch time).
Shayashone Trading PLC reserves the right to cancel or modify the tender partially or entirely.
