Invitation for Bids: Provision of Financial Literacy Training of Trainers (ToT) for the "Improving Incomes of Coffee Farmers in Jimma" Project

Digital Green Foundation invites qualified local consultants and consulting firms to submit technical and financial proposals for designing, delivering, and documenting a high-quality Financial Literacy Training of Trainers (TOT) program.

Scope of Work

The selected consultant will be responsible for implementing a cascaded training model aimed at strengthening the economic resilience of smallholder coffee farmers, women self-help groups (SHGs), and honey producer groups (HPGs) in four woredas of the Jimma Zone.

Key responsibilities include:

·         Designing a cascaded Financial Literacy ToT curriculum and training materials (Trainer's manual, participant handbooks, and practical exercises).

·         Facilitating a 3-5-day ToT workshop for Digital Green staff to equip them with adult-learning and facilitation skills.

·         Strengthening participants' ability to independently deliver high-quality financial literacy trainings to government partners and community-level groups.

·         Administering pre- and post-training assessments and submitting a comprehensive final report including readiness evaluations for the rollout.

Eligibility Requirements

·         Advanced degree in finance, economics, development studies, education, or a related field.

·         At least 5-7 years of relevant experience in financial literacy, financial inclusion, or livelihoods programming.

·         Proven expertise in delivering Training of Trainers (TOT) using cascading training models.

·         Strong understanding of rural livelihoods, farmer groups, SHGS, or producer organizations in the Ethiopian context.

·         Demonstrated capacity to develop context- appropriate training materials and produce high- quality reports.

Submission Requirements

Interested applicants should submit the following documents in two separate sealed envelopes (one for Technical and one for Financial):

·         Technical proposal (maximum 5 pages) detailing the tasks, methodology, and timeline.

·         Financial proposal with a detailed budget based on a Daily Professional Rate.

·         Work plan indicating the timeline of activities.

·         One-page profile of the lead consultant with relevant qualifications.

·         Statement of capability and previous engagements, including at least two relevant references.

·         Submission Deadline

·         All proposals must be submitted in a sealed envelope no later than March 30, 2026, 2:00 PM (8:00 local time) to the Digital Green office located at 22, Haile Geberesillassie Street, Waryt building, 6th floor, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia. Electronic submissions via email will not be accepted.

Evaluation Criteria

·         Technical Evaluation = 70%

·         Financial proposal = 30%
