Invitation to BID for the Purchase of Wheelchairs

Love for Children and Family Development Organization (LCF), with financial support from ChildFund Ethiopia (NSP Program), invites eligible and qualified suppliers to submit sealed bids for the supply of wheelchairs for children with disabilities.

Manual Wheelchair Specifications

·         Frame: Lightweight steel or aluminum frame

·         Weight Capacity: Minimum 75-100 kg

·         Seat Width: 12-18 inches (adjustable or multiple sizes)

·         Seat Material: Breathable, washable fabric

·         Armrests: Fixed or detachable

·         Footrests: Adjustable and removable

·         Wheels: Solid or pneumatic rear wheels (24 inches)

·         Front Casters: 6-8 inches, durable

·         Braking System: Manual locking brakes on both rear wheels

·         Foldability: Foldable frame for easy transport

·         Safety: Anti-tip support

Electric Wheelchair Specifications

·         Size (LXWXH) 1100X800X900mm +10mm

·         Seat Width 520mm ± 10mm

·         Front wheel Diameter 200mm ± 10mm

·         Rare wheel diameter 300mm ± 10mm

·         Motor: Dual motor system (minimum 200W each)

·         Battery: Rechargeable battery (minimum 12V, long-life)

·         Range: Minimum 10-15 km per charge

·         Speed: 4-6 km/h (five-speed adjustable)

·         Control: Joystick control system

·         Frame: Durable aluminum frame alloy frame

·         Weight Capacity: Minimum 100 kg

·         Safety: Anti-tip wheels, seat belt

·         Charging: Standard AC charger (220V compatible)

·         Tires: Solid or pneumatic tires

Interested Supplier firms who wish to send their proposal should have

1.       Renewed professional license

2.       Tax identification number and value Added Tax (VAT) certificate

3.       Renewed business license

4.       Adequate and experienced personnel CVs and other related document.

The bid must also include the organization profile with emphasis on experience, qualification.

Interested bidders apply from the announcement date 10 consecutive days to propose the organization bid box.
