- Introduction
WaterAid Ethiopia invites sealed bids from interested individuals, companies, institutions, and organisations for the purchase of used automobiles, Information Technology (IT) equipment and office furniture through a competitive bidding process. The assets are being disposed of in accordance with WaterAid Ethiopia’s Asset Management and Procurement Policies. The assets are offered for sale on an “As Is, Where Is” basis without any warranty or guarantee regarding their condition or future performance.
- Assets for Disposal
WaterAid Ethiopia intends to dispose of various categories of used automobiles, Information Technology (IT) equipment and office furniture. The detailed list of assets, including descriptions, quantities, conditions, and bidding forms, is contained in the Tender Document, which may be obtained from the Procurement Unit during the period specified below.
- Collection of Tender Documents
The Tender Document will be provided to interested bidders who register their email addresses at the registration desk located at WaterAid Ethiopia’s reception, between August 13 to 26, 2026, during working hours (08:30 AM – 12:30 PM and 01:30 PM – 05:00 PM). Note: Friday working hours: (08:30 AM – 12:30 PM only).
The Tender Document includes a Detailed List of Assets and their Conditions, Bid Submission Form, Financial Bid Form, Terms and Conditions of Sale, and Instructions to Bidders.
- Inspection of Assets
Interested bidders are encouraged to inspect the assets before submitting their bids. Inspection shall be conducted at WaterAid Ethiopia’s premises from August 17 to 20, 2026, from 8:30 AM to 12:30 PM only.
WaterAid strongly recommends that bidders inspect the assets before submitting their financial offers.

The invitation is open to: Individuals, Registered Businesses, Government Institutions, Educational Institutions, Non-Governmental Organizations

The bid proposal envelope shall clearly state:
“Bid for the Purchase of Used Automobile, IT Equipment and Office Furniture – Bid Reference No. WAE/DISP/2026/00019”
The bid submission shall include:
- Completed Bid Submission Form.
- Completed Financial Bid Form.
- Copies of the required supporting documents as specified in the Tender Document.
Bids must be received on or before the submission deadline, August 26, 2026 @ 1:30 PM. Bids received after the deadline will be rejected and will not be considered for evaluation.
- Bid Opening
Bids will be opened immediately after the submission deadline in the presence of bidders or their representatives who choose to attend on August 26, 2026 @ 2:00 PM.
- Evaluation and Award
Bids will be evaluated in accordance with the requirements and procedures outlined in the Tender Document. Generally, each asset will be awarded to the highest responsive bidder who satisfies the conditions of the sale.
WaterAid Ethiopia reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, cancel the disposal process, withdraw any asset before award, or award assets in the manner it considers to be in its best interest.
- Payment and Collection
Successful bidders shall make payment within 7 calendar days. Assets shall only be released after full payment has been received and officially confirmed by WaterAid Ethiopia. Successful bidders shall be responsible for loading, transportation, and all costs associated with collecting the purchased assets.
- Condition of Sale
All assets are sold strictly on an “As Is, Where Is” basis. WaterAid Ethiopia makes no representation or warranty regarding the condition, functionality, completeness, or suitability of any asset and shall not accept returns or claims after the assets have been handed over.
- Clarifications

- WaterAid Ethiopia reserves the right to:
- Accept or reject any or all bids.
- Amend, suspend, or cancel the disposal process at any stage without incurring any liability.
- Verify the accuracy of information provided by bidders.
- Conduct due diligence on any bidder where considered necessary.
- Withdraw any asset from the disposal process at any time.
- Award one or more assets in the best interest of the organisation and in accordance with the evaluation criteria.
The award shall normally be made to the highest evaluated responsive bidder who meets all eligibility requirements and complies with the terms and conditions of this tender.
