Architectural Design Competition for EIC Eastern District Mixed Commercial Building Project
CALL FOR EXPRESSION OF INTEREST (EOI).
FOR ARCHITECTURAL DESIGN COMPETITION
Ethiopian Insurance Corporation. EIC. In collaboration with Association of Ethiopian Architect (AEA) invites Licensed Category I Consulting Architect (CA) and Consulting Architects & Engineers (CAE) that are members of AEA to submit an Expression of interest (EOI) for Architectural Design Competition for EIC Eastern District Mixed Commercial Building Project.
1. Project Funding: EIC, the promoter. has secured sufficient funds to effect all payments under this project competition.
2. Project Site: The project site is located at Kirkos Subcity. Wereda08. Addis Ababa (Behind Addis Ababa Hilton Hotel).
3. Project Size: The project is envisaged as 2B+G+10 Mixed Commercial building Project, with the provision for future expansion up to 2B+G+15.
4. Competition Type: This is One-Stage Project Competition open for licensed Category I Consulting Architects (CA) and Consulting Architects & Engineers (CAE) that are members of AEA.
5. Obtaining the EOI Document: Interested Firms may obtain hardcopies of EOI Document from AEA office at the address given in item 7 below during the period August 17-26, 2026 between 9:00 AM - 1:00 P.M (Monday to Saturday). A valid AEA membership confirmation letter/receipt and a renewed business license are required for collection. No fee is applicable to receive the EOI.
6. Membership Inquiry & Application: Interested participants may approach AEA to inquire about their membership status, or apply for membership. All inquiries and applications must be submitted to the address in item 7 below on or before 1:00 P.M. August 26, 2026. Late requests will not be accepted.

8. Submission of EOI: Completed EOI document must be submitted to EIC Headquarters, 1st floor, room No. 108, Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on or before 2:30 P.M. on August 31, 2026.
Ethiopian Insurance Corporation (EIC) reserves the right to reject any or all the EOIs without assigning any reason.
