In accordance with the overall road sector strategy, the Road Fund Office of the Federal Democratic Republic of Ethiopia, represented by the Ethiopian Roads Administration (ERA), has allocated budget to finance the Construction Works of Jiga-Quarit-Arbgebeya-Sekela-Tilili Road Project Contract I: Jiga-Quarit-Arbgebeya.
The project is located in Amhara National Regional state starting at Jiga town located in Mirab(west) Gojjam zone and it is about 380km from Addis Ababa and ends at Tilili town of Agew Awi zone. The existing length of Jiga – Quarit – Arbgebeya – Sekela – Tilili is 121km. It starts at Jiga Town (Located along Debre Markos – Bahirdar Trunk Road).
The Construction Works is awarded to Yotek Construction PLC. The objective of this service is to provide parts of the exertion (Geotechnical investigation service for bridge at km 9+615). The Works to be carried out under this contract comprises detail geotechnical investigation including mobilization and demobilization of drilling equipment, all necessary accessories and crew to the project site, study of regional and the bridge site seismic hazards, drilling of boreholes by using rotary drilling rig, determination of SPT-values to determine strength of various layer, extract disturbed, undisturbed and core samples to determine Engineering properties of the site, establishment of ground water condition, detailed geotechnical logging of boreholes, laboratory testing of collected samples, Preservation of cores/study samples and Preparation of Technical Report.

- Interested eligible bidder shall submit the following certificates and evidences.
- Renewed and Valid Certificate of Competence for the current budget year
- Renewed Valid Trade License and Business Registration Certificate for the current budget year
- VAT Registration Certificate valid during the bidding period
- TIN Registration Certificate valid during the bidding period
- Valid Tax Clearance Certificate valid during the bidding period
- Registered in the FPPA’s Suppliers List
- Not debarred by decision of FPPA
- Availability of drilling equipment necessary for the works/minimum of one rig for Geotechnical Investigations.
- A bidder has to be registered to collect “VAT” and copy of VAT certificate, valid business license, and other appropriate documentary evidences demonstration the bidder’s compliance, which shall include Trading Licenses and Registration Certificates, renewed for the bidding period, Tax Clearance Certificate and Tax payer identification (TIN) certificate and Registered in the FPPA’s Supplier list must be attached with the application letter.
- Only financial offers of those bidders who score the qualifying point, 70% and above will be opened on the financial opening date otherwise; financial proposal will be returned unopened. The client “Contractor” shall address the financial opening date and time to the bidders.
- Any attempt of submission forged (false) document and or/ indication of financial offer on the qualification document shall result in rejection of the bid.
- The permitted method of communication shall be in writing. Throughout this Request for Proposals the term “in writing” means communicated in written form and delivered against receipt.
- The contracting body “Contractor” reserves the right to accept or reject, Modify or change the parts or all of the bidding process where it is necessary to introduce modification to the Request for Proposals on its initiative or on the basis of request for clarification by Sub-Consultant, the client “Consultant” may modify the Request for Proposals at any time prior to the deadline for submission of Bid Proposals.
Interested eligible bidder shall submit one original and one photocopy for both Technical Proposal and financial offer and bidders may obtain further information and inspect the bidding documents from Yotek Construction plc at the address given below from 8:30am to 12:30pm am and 1:30pm to 5:00 pm from Mondays to Friday, Saturday 8:30 am to 12:30pm local time free of charge as of August 31, 2026, on the submission of a written application until September 05, 2026.
