Invitation for Bid (IFB)

IFB Title: Procurement of Engineering & Laboratory Equipment and Related Services.

Procurement Reference number: SIT/NCB/G/01/001/18

Shaggar Institute of Technology hereby invites eligible and competitive bidders to submit sealed bids for the Supply and Installation of Workshop and Laboratory Equipment for the following departments:

• a) Electrical & Electronics
• b) General Mechanics, and
• c) Biotechnology

1. The amount of the bid security is 1% of the total offered bid price.

NB: If the total amount of bid security exceeds ETB 500,000, the bidder may reduce it to ETB 500,000.

1. Bidding will be conducted through National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedures for all eligible bidders.
2. Source of Finance: SIT Government Budget
3. Interested eligible bidders may obtain further information from Shaggar Institute of Technology and inspect the bidding documents at the address given below from Monday to Friday, 8:30 A.M. to 12:30 A.M and 1:30 P.M. to 4:30 P.M.
4. Interested bidders may purchase a complete set of Bidding Documents in English at the address below and upon payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1000 (One Thousand). Payment shall be made by depositing the required amount into Siinqee Bank, Acc. No. 1104249551212, under the name Shaggar Institute of Technology (SIT), and presenting the Original deposit receipt to Shaggar Institute of Technology (SIT) to collect the documents.
5. Bids must be delivered to the address below at or before September 21, 2026 G.C. at 10:00 A.M. in the Morning. Bids will be opened in the presence of the bidder's/representatives who choose to attend at the address below on September 21, 2026 G.C at 10:30 A.M. in the Morning.
6. SIT reserves the right to reject any bid and to annul the bidding process and reject all bids at any time before contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to bidders.
7. Bids shall remain valid for the period specified in the Bidding Document. Late bids will be rejected.
