UNICEF has now issued a Request for Proposal in order to select a supplier for the provision of Best Buys Paper for Adolescent Girls' Solutions that deliver acorss sectors. The United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) Gender Equality Action Plan (UGEAP), 2026-2029, outlines the organization’s key commitments to advancing gender equality and the empowerment of all girls and women. Building on UNICEF’s comparative advantages, lessons learned from prior Action Plans, as well as evidence of proven strategies to effect change at scale in the lives of girls and women, this UGEAP sets targets to enhance girls’ and women’s access to quality services across all five programmatic targets of the Strategic Plan. The Global Programme Division (GPD) Gender Equality team provides strategic leadership and guidance on UGEAP 2026-29 and the Adolescent Girls’ Accelerator Strategy 2026-2029, working closely with a global network of staff to support UNICEF to deliver on its UGEAP and Strategic Plan commitments, including targeted commitments to adolescent girls in each sectoral area and through multisectoral, at-scale programming for adolescent girls. GPD Gender Equality team’s priority in 2026-2029 is to focus on scaling up and sustainable financing of the ‘best buys’ in proven policy and programme solutions that advance UNICEF’s targets for tangible changes in adolescent girls’ lives across multiple sectoral outcomes (e.g. education, health, protection, social protection and economic empowerment pathways). While substantial evidence exists on effective interventions within sectors (e.g. education, health, social protection), there is limited evidence and guidance on which interventions deliver combined impacts across outcomes, including pathways to longer-term empowerment and economic transitions. This tender will be run through the UNICEF e-submissions system. Please note that in order to access the tender documentation through UNICEF’s e-submissions system, vendors must: (i) be registered with UNICEF in UNGM as a company/NGO; (ii) have successfully completed all mandatory information currently required by UNGM when registering.
