- Background
The Africa Health Collaborative (AHC) is a pioneering initiative aimed at strengthening primary healthcare across Africa and empowering the continent's health sector through transformative education and innovation. As part of this program Addis Ababa University (AAU) has launched the AHC-AAU Project at College of Health Sciences (CHS), in partnership with Mastercard Foundation.
In Ethiopia, Addis Ababa University is leading the implementation of this initiative in partnership with the Mastercard Foundation. This initiative is dedicated to establishing a dynamic, sustainable, and impactful network of leading African universities, alumni, government agencies, start-ups, not for-profit organizations, and private sector partners. Its primary objective is to create dignified and meaningful employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in Africa's health sector by focusing on three key thematic areas: Health Employment, Health Entrepreneurship, and Health Ecosystem Development.
To support the smooth operation of this initiative, Shayashone Trading PLC (SYS) has been engaged as a service provider, responsible for providing fiduciary and administrative support, including financial management, procurement, human resource management, and logistics. This collaboration ensures effective and accountable implementation of the program's vision and objectives.
As part of its operational strengthening and to create a digitally enabled and efficient working environment, the AHC- Addis Ababa University Project, through Shayashone Trading PLC, seeks to procure ICT equipment. This includes, but is not limited to, computers, printers, copiers, and smart boards. The procurement of ICT equipment is, therefore, a critical investment in building the digital infrastructure necessary to realize AHC's vision for innovation-led health system transformation in Ethiopia and across Africa
- Scope of supply and related works
The selected vendor shall be responsible for the supply, delivery, installation, and commissioning of ICT equipment as outlined below. The equipment is intended to support the operational and administrative functions of the Africa Health Collaborative-Addis Ababa University project.
Scope of Work Includes:
Supply of ICT Equipment, including but not limited to:
- Lot 1. Laptops and Desktop Computers
- Lot 2. Smart Boards and Cameras
- Lot 3. Multi-Functional Photo Copier, Multifunction Laser Printer, LCD Projector, Instant on Wireless Access Point, and All in One Printer (scanning, printing and copying).
Installation and Commissioning:
- Proper setup and configuration of all supplied equipment
- Initial functionality testing and demonstration
- Basic user orientation as needed
The detailed specifications, quantities, and technical requirements for each item will be provided in the complete bid document, which will be made available to all interested and eligible bidders upon request.
Shayashone Trading PLC now invites eligible bidders who fulfill the following requirements to submit sealed bids for the above- mentioned equipment.
- Legally established in Ethiopia and/or authorized agent in the country
- Renewed appropriate trade license for 2017 E.C
- Renewed certificate of registration from the authorized body in the sector
- VAT registration certificate
- Tax clearance certificate starting the bidder is eligible to participate in any public tender and valid at least at the deadline for submission of bids
- Tax payer registration certificate
- Manufacturer Authorization Certificate
Bidding will be conducted by means of the National Competitive Bidding (NCB) procedure and with qualifications as specified in the standard bidding document to be provided to the potential bidders.
Bidders can get the complete set of bidding documents in 15 consecutive days from bid floatation time from Shyashone Trading PLC through the addresses provided below.
All bidders are required to submit bid bond of 100,000.00 ETB (One hundred thousand) for each lot in the form of an Unconditional Bank Guarantee, and without deviation as in the condition of the tender documents. The submission of the bid security shall be in a separately sealed envelope.
Bidders shall be required to submit their bid documents in two separate envelopes: one containing the technical document and the other containing the financial document separately. The sealed bid documents shall be submitted to Shayashone Trading PLC no later than the stated date and time in the tender document. Bidders shall follow the instructions to bidders with qualifications as specified in the Standard bidding document.
The bid will be opened at the Shayashone PLC office on August 6, 2025, at 2:30 PM in the presence of bidders or their representatives.
