Islamic Relief Worldwide (IRW) is an international relief and development agency that was established in Birmingham, UK in 1984. Islamic Relief (IR) began relief work in Ethiopia in 2000 in response to the severe drought that plagued great parts of the Oromia region. Four years after first started working in the country, IR officially opened an office in the country in 2004. Since 2004, Islamic Relief (IR) has been operational in Ethiopia delivering humanitarian assistance and implementing development interventions. Working with the local communities and government, IR managed to reach millions of vulnerable communities in remote pastoralist areas and the very urban poor.
1. The ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE) now invites all eligible contractors registered and licensed under the category of construction, grade 5 and above by relevant government authorities for 2018 E.C to undertake Construction of Six - Low-Cost Houses for Jigjiga City of Somali Regional State.
2. A complete set. of bidding documents can be purchased by any interested eligible bidder on the submission of a written application to the ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE), upon payment of non-refundable fee of Birr 200.00 which shall be deposited at Islamic Relief Account No 1000007230714 at Commercial Bank of Ethiopia Bole Branch.
3. Bidders shall provide evidence satisfactory to IRE including performance of minimum 3 years' experience, personnel schedule and work methodology and schedule.
4. At least the last three years audited financial statement is required
5. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of bid amount in CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee, the bid security shall be valid for 60 days starting from bid opening date.

7. Wax-sealed envelopes containing a separate envelope sealed and marked "Bid Security," "Original and Copy of Financial Document"
8. Bids must be delivered to IR Ethiopia before Tuesday 27 January 2026 at 10:00AM Morning. Bid will be closed on the same date at 10:00 AM and be opened on the same date at 10:30 AM in the Morning.
9. IRE reserves the right to reject any or all offers without giving reason for doing so.
