Request for Expressions of Interest

 for Construction Works of Curbstone for Own-Force Project at Different parts of Addis Ababa City

1.       The Addis Ababa City Administration, represented by the Addis Ababa City Roads Authority (AACRA), has allocated funds and intends to apply part of these funds towards the cost of the Construction Works of Curbstone for Own-Force Projects at Different Parts of Addis Ababa City.

2.       AACRA hereby invites suitably qualified and competent contractors with proven experience and adequate technical and financial capacity to submit sealed Expressions of Interest (EOI) for the execution of the above-mentioned works.

3.       Interested and eligible contractors are required to submit their Expressions of Interest along with the following documents and information:

i.                     Evidence of Eligibility, valid for 2018 E.C.:

·         Trading License,

·         VAT Registration Certificate,

·         Certificate of Registration from Ethiopian Construction Authority or other appropriate bureaus, and

·         Tax Clearance Certificate issued by the relevant Revenue Office, valid at least on the submission deadline.

ii.                   Equipment Availability (Proof of Ownership Required; Lease Agreements Not Acceptable):

Bidders must provide authenticated evidence of ownership (such as machinery registration or purchase invoice) for the following equipment

·         Curbstone production/installation machine,

·         Truck concrete mixer, and

·         Concrete vibrator and related accessories.

·         In addition, bidders must provide proof of:

·         Ownership of a functional concrete mixing plant or

·         Access to ready-mix concrete supply (supply agreement required).

iii.                 Technical Capacity

List of key technical personnel and skilled manpower with demonstrated experience in similar curbstone and concrete works.

iv.                 A signed letter confirming the bidder's commitment to construct the curbstone works as required by the AACRA, with a minimum production rate of 600 meters per day.

v.                   Audited Financial Statement for the last five years.

4.       The Authority reserves the right to accept or reject any or all submissions.

5.       Expressions of Interest must be delivered in one original and two copies to the address below on or before February 27, 2026 at 5:00 P.M.
