The Ethiopian Electric Utility (EEU) intends to re-invite qualified and experienced eligible contractors through Open National Competitive Bidding (NCB) for the Renovation work for Customer Service Center in the EEU, Wolaita Region. The Procurement Reference Number is EEU/WR/NCB/-004/2018 (Lot 2), located in Dilla city.
The bidder shall be:
1. Category GC-5/BC-5 and above.
2. Valid Business License and Commercial Registration Certificate; Taxpayer Identification Number (TIN) and Tax Clearance Certificate, Registration in the Electronic Government Procurement (e-GP) or EPPA's Suppliers List; and VAT Registration Certificate.
3. The amount of the bid security shall be 40,000.00 (forty thousand) birr by a bank CPO, delivered to the Ethiopian Electric Utility, Wolaita Region. Bid validity date shall be as specified in the bidding document.
4. A bid document prepared in English can be obtained from the Ethiopian Electric Utility, Wolaita Region Office, at the ground floor (Room 4), for 15 (Fifteen) consecutive days from the date of publication of this advertisement in the newspaper by paying 1,000 (one thousand) Birr.
5. The bid documents, one original and one copy (Technical and Financial), in sealed, separated envelopes, with the clearly written name and lot No., should be submitted on the 15th day from the date of publication of this advertisement, at the Supply Chain and PGS Office (Room 4), no later than 2:00 p.m. The bids will be closed at that time. On the same date at 2:30 pm, in the presence or absence of the bidders or their legal representatives, the bid will be opened. If this day falls on a Saturday, Sunday, or public holiday, the next working day will be the day on which the bids will be delivered by hand and opened.
6. The technical evaluation of the bid will be based solely on the technical evaluation criteria detailed in the bid document. The only contractors who have passed the technical evaluation will be invited for financial.
7. The Ethiopian Electric Utility reserves the right to cancel the bid in whole or in part if it finds a better alternative.
