Invitation for Supply and Installation of Three (3) Solar-Powered Water Supply Systems in Huse-Well-II, Harkonch and Torbeyo Kebele, Located in Mieso Woreda of West Hararghe Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia.

IRE has been operating in Ethiopia since 2004 in Addis Ababa City, Oromia, Somali and Afar National Regional States. Since 2004, Islamic Relief (IR) has been operational in Ethiopia delivering humanitarian assistance and implementing development interventions. Working with the local communities and government, IR managed to reach millions of vulnerable communities in remote pastoralist areas and the very urban poor. Accordingly, IRE has received fund to implement the Strengthening Community Resilience and Economic Empowerment Program (SHEEP-II) project.

1. ISLAMIC RELIEF ETHIOPIA (IRE) invites all eligible Electromechanical Contractors of Grade V and above, duly registered and licensed by the Ethiopian Energy and Petroleum Authority (EEPA), with valid licenses for 2018 E.C., to submit bids for the Supply and Installation of Three (3) Solar-Powered Water Supply Systems in Huse-Well-II, Harkonch, and Torbeyo Kebeles, located in Mieso Woreda, West Hararghe Zone, Oromia Regional State, Ethiopia.
2. The price should include purchase of 3 solar power water supply systems, transportation, installation, commissioning, testing, and training for solar operators;
3. A complete set of bidding documents can be purchased by any interested eligible bidder upon payment of a non-refundable fee of Birr 400.00 at Islamic Relief Ethiopia A/C 1000007230714
4. All bids must be accompanied by a bid security of 2% of the total bid amount including vat in CPO or Unconditional Bank Guarantee, the bid security shall be valid for 60 days starting from bid opening date.
5. Bidders must demonstrate at least three (3) years of experience in similar assignments (solar pump installation).
6. Submission of the last three years’ audited financial statements is mandatory.
7. Wax-sealed envelopes containing a separate envelope sealed and marked “Bid Security,” “Original and Copy of Financial Document”
8. Bids must be submitted to the IR Ethiopia Country Office or Chiro office before Tuesday, September 1, 2026, at 10:00 AM (Morning). The bid will be closed on the same date at 10:00 AM local time and be opened on the same date at 10:30 AM (Morning).
9. IRE reserves the right to reject all or part of the tender.
