Natanim Charitable Organization (NCO) invites qualified and interested audit fiems to submit quotations for conducting the financial audit of the organization's thee bank accounts for the fiscal year 2073/ 2024 and government and donor and board reporting purposes.

NCO is a civil society organization established on April 5, 2023, with a focus on charitable and humanitarian efforts in the field of mental health and psychosocial support. Registered under the Ethiopian Civil Society Organizations Proclamation Number 1113/2019, it holds a registry number of 6792.

 The audit will encompass three accounts one account at Aswash Bank and two accounts at Bank of Abyssinia. The accounts collectively handle financial transactions below ETB 7,000,000, and all financial records are organized in seven (7) box files

The selected audit firm will prepare:

  1. Donor Reports:

A combined report and one separate report covering the two accounts at Bank of Abyssinia for the period January 1, 2024, to December 31, 2024.

  1. Government Report:

A comprehensive report covering all three accounts (Awash Bank and Bank of Abyssinia) for the period July 1, 2023, to December 31, 2024.

The financial reports are intended for submission to NCO's Board of Directors, donors, and the Ethiopian Civil Society Agency.

Scope of Work

The audit will include:

  1. Verification of compliance with donor agreements, government regulations, and organizational policies.
  2. Assessment of financial management practices and adherence to reporting standards
  3. Preparation of audit reports, including a management letter with findings and recommendations.

Eligibility Requirements

Interested audit firms must meet the following criteria:

International Standards: Be an international audit firm based in Ethiopia or a local firm partnered with an international audit firm

  • Registration: Hold a valid registration with the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE
  • Experience: Minimum of five years of experience auditing NGOs or similar organizations.
  • Documentation: Submit valid and renewed trade license, TIN, and VAT/TOT certificates
  • References: Provide recommendation letters from similar organizations.
  • Proposal Validity: All proposals must remain valid for 30 days after the submission deadline.

Submission Requirements

1. Technical Proposal:

  • Methodology and approach for conducting the audit
  • Qualifications and experience of the audit team.
  • Timeline for completing the audit

2. Financial Proposal:

  • A detailed cost breakdown, quoted in Ethiopian Birr (ETB)

Proposals must be sealed, stamped, and labeled with the reference number NCO/0091/24

Bid Collection and Submission

  • Collection Period: Proposals can be collected during working hours from December 11, 2024, to December 25, 2024.
  • Submission Deadline: Proposals must be submitted no later than December 25, 2024, before 5:30 PM.
