In line with regulatory requirements and best practices, Awach SACCOS seeks to invite a qualified and experienced audit firm through an open tender to conduct the statutory audits of its financial statements for the fiscal years ending June 30,2025, and June 30,2026 for two consecutive budget years.

Scope of Work: The selected firm will be responsible for auditing our financial statements and ensuring compliance with applicable laws and standards. The detailed terms of reference will be provided in the tender documents.

Eligibility Requirements:

• Valid professional license and registration with the Accounting and Auditing Board of Ethiopia (AABE).
• Must have a valid and renewed business license in the sector, have paid the current taxes, and be able to provide a renewed Tax clearance certificate from the Ministry of Revenue Which allow them to participate in the tender
• Must provide a certificate of registration for Value Added Tax (VAT).
• Proven experience of at least 2 years in auditing financial institutions. preferably SACCOS or microfinance institutions.
• Demonstrated expertise in IFRS and Ethiopian accounting and auditing
• standards
• Qualified and experienced audit team.
• Strong understanding of the Ethiopian financial sector and regulatory
• Evidence of professional indemnity insurance.
• Evidence of Quality control reviews.
• Documented adherence to the code of ethics for professional accountants Must submit a bid security of 100,000.00 /one hundred thousand/ birr in the form of a bank-certified CPO or unconditional bank guarantee along with the bid document.
• Can purchase the bidding documents in person from Head Office, Aware, Agar Building 2nd Floor, Office No. 201, by paying a non-refundable fee of Birr 300/Three Hundred Birr/.
• Must complete their documents by affixing their name, full address, signature, and the company's seal.
• Bids based on other bidders' prices will not be accepted.
• Bidders can submit their bid documents from the date of issuance of the bid notice in the Addis Zemen newspaper up to the 16th day until 4:00 AM. The bid box will be sealed at 4:00 AM on the same day and the bid will be opened at 4:30 AM in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives.
• The Cooperative reserves the right to cancel the bid fully or partially if it finds a better alternative.
• Awach SACCOS wants to establish a two-year contract, and it is essential for all bidders to be aware of and give due consideration to this information.
