INVITATION TO BID

Ref No: – ERCS/WKS/0096/26

1.       The Ethiopian Red Cross Society Head quarter invites eligible and qualified contractors of category GC Grade 5, GWWC Grade 5 & above, Electromechanical contractors Grade 5 and above with valid trade license, registration certificate, and eligible for the work.  Major parts of the work are supply and installation of the necessary labor, materials and equipment for solar powered water supply works and solar powered irrigation works in shebelle zone of somali region of Ethiopia.

One bidder may participate for one lot or several lots

2.       Interested eligible bidders can purchase a complete set of biding document by depositing a non-refundable payment amount ETB 500 (Five Hundred Birr) on CBE Account Number 1000000950487 in the name of Ethiopian Red Cross Society & collect the bidding document from ERCS Head Quarter Office No 25.

3.       Bidders shall present copy of their renewed trade license for the year 2018 E.C., registration Certificate, Tax Identification & VAT Registration Certificates; supplier registration certificate, which must be active for this fiscal year and other necessary documents.

4.       All tenders must be submitted to Ethiopian Red Cross Society Head Quarter along with a BID SECURITY (BID BOND) in acceptable Forms (CPO ONLY) SPECIFIED IN THE BIDDING DATA SHEET amounting to 2% of the bid offer, on separate envelope. The CPO should be valid for 28 days after bid validity.

5.       Financial offer shall be produced in separate envelopes labelled as ORIGINAL and COPY. TECHNICAL OFFER shall be made in a separate third wax sealed envelope clearly labelled as TECHNICAL OFFER. The three envelopes shall then be sealed, signed and stamped inside a sealed, signed and stamped outer envelope, addressed to Ethiopian Red Cross Society whose address is mentioned below.

6.       Bid will be closed on January 28, 2026 at 2:00 pm and will be opened on the same date at 2:30pm in the presence of those bidders or their authorized representatives who are willing to attend the event at ERCS Conference Room, Addis Ababa.

7.       Bidders are advised to read bidding document thoroughly in order to fill all the necessary details requested in the bidding document.

8.       Failure to comply with the conditions from No.2 to 7 above may result in an automatic rejection.

9.       The Ethiopian Red Cross Society reserves the right to reject any bid and to annul the bidding process at any time prior to contract award, without thereby incurring any liability to Bidders.
