The British Embassy in Addis Ababa is conducting a public auction for the disposal of various surplus items, including:
Fuel Tank, 20ft Containers, Printer and Scanners, Generators, and other Scrap Materials.
Auction Details:
- Viewing & Bidding Date: 24 July 2025 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Result Announcement: 28 July 2025
- Item Collection: 30 – 31 July 2025 | 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM
- Location: British Embassy compound
How to Participate:
Register by 5:00 PM on 22 June 2025 through the following:

- Bidding will be done via mobile phone using a QR code system.
Requirements:
- Valid ID is required
- Participants must be legally eligible to bid
- External bidders must pay a non-refundable fee of 5,000 ETB in cash on viewing day to participate.
- External bidders are prohibited from parking inside or around the Embassy compound. Participants are responsible for arranging suitable parking outside the premises.

- All items are sold as seen. The British Embassy makes no guarantees regarding the condition or functionality of any item and accepts no responsibility for their working status.
- All items won must be collected in full. Participants are not permitted to select or reject individual items from their winning bids.
- The British Embassy reserves the right to cancel the auction in part or in full without prior notice
