Invitation for Construction Works Bid

The Ethiopian Academy of Sciences invites interested and eligible bidders to submit bids for the construction of Guard Housing, Fence, Painting, and Office Maintenance.
Requirements:
Eligible bidders must submit the following valid legal documents:
- Contractor's License Level 6 or above in Building or General Construction (valid for 2018 E.C)
- Renewed Trade License
- Trade Registration Certificate
- TIN Certificate
- Tax Clearance Certificate
- Public Procurement and Property Authority (PPPA) Registration Certificate
- Registration Certificate from the PPPA as an active supplier/ contractor.
Bid Submission and Opening:
- Bidding documents can be collected from the EAS
- Headquarters, at the stated address below, upon presentation of a written application and payment of a non-refundable fee of ETB 1,000 (One Thousand Ethiopian Birr).
- The bid will be available starting from December 29, 2025, and will remain open for 21 (twenty-one) calendar days from the date of the first announcement. The bid will be closed on January 19, 2025 (11 ጥር 2018 E.C.) at 10:00 AM.
- Bids must be delivered in two separate (technical and financial proposal) sealed envelopes to the address below before the closing date and time as stated in the bidding documents.
- Bidders shall submit a bid security of ETB 100,000 (One Hundred Thousand Birr) in person to the EAS Headquarters, Administration and Finance Unit. Acceptable forms of bid security are:
- Unconditional Bank Guarantee
- Cash Payment Order (CPO)
- Late bids will be automatically rejected.
- Bids will be opened in the presence of bidders or their legal representatives at the address stated below, on the date and time specified in the bid document.
- The EAS reserves the right to accept or reject any or all bids, partially or fully, without stating any reasons.
